Sermon One | Accidental | Voice

[There was the sounds of birds chirping, leaves moving in the wind and the sound of someone mumbling to themselves.] This is not good at all- what if the Church thinks I ran away?

[Now the sound of grass rustling as someone is walking around.] But I have wings- so, maybe this is a dream? Maybe some symbolism? What do wings represent? Um. [There is more pacing.] Wings. Wings. Wings.

In the fifth book and the third sermon, Mother Monoya said 'And thusly The Lady felt as if she had wings, and was moving further from the body of the Dei-' [A gasp.] Nonono- Does this mean I am only moving further from the Church? But in the seventh sermon she said 'The Lady knew her spirit could soar and look down on the peoples of the lands, to see the full body of the Deity and learn of em.' So maybe its a sign because I am still ground bound that while I have wings I have the potential to fully learn of the Deity but I am stuck here by my own insecurities. What would Abel say?

What would HE say?

He would say: You're thinking too much about the symbolism, so why don't you just enjoy the idea of fliting around with my birds. But- there has to be a reason why I am dreaming about this. I have never dreamed about wings before. So, I will pretend I am on a journey in my dreamworld in my mind.

Maybe I will learn something and can bring it back to the waking world if I remember it. Which I won't. Because really, who remembers dreams in that much detail? What is this? [Suddenly the journal is picked up. There is a bespectacled man with gray eyes and light blond hair. He narrows his eyes as he looks over the journal and realizes it is recording. Suddenly, the expression quickly changes, from one curiosity, to fear to neutral. Almost blank. Luce can see other people in it, so he knew that he had to be impersonal- be The Judge.]

To whom is using this…device-

['It is a dream right? So, it can’t be witchcraft, right?' He thinks to himself]

I require some information on this locale and perhaps someone could tell me why I have wings.

[Why ponder symbolism when one can simply have it spelled out to him. His mind would be nice and tell him, right? Right!]

I have just arrived, and judging from other notes I have seen, others have just arrived too.

[Luce paused as he tried to think of how to sort this out mentally.]

I know it is improper of me to read into their personal affairs, so perhaps could someone be so polite to tell me the answers to the basic questions:

Who is in charge here?
What am I doing here?
When is this?
Where am I?
and How did I get here?

[Luce pauses for a few more moments, feeling out the next sentence in his mouth.]

Of course, it would be rude of me to ask so much without properly introducing myself, I am The Judge of Sancia.

[After all, Luce is amongst people now. So, he wasn’t Luce. He had a role he had to act out and he would. Oh he wanted to look into those other entries, but if this were a dream they would probably be talking about potatoes and the color orange and how orange could be such an ugly color in many situations. And rude after all, he couldn’t just let people know he was sneaking around reading- and Abel said not to do that unless he was working.]

And I am quite new here.

H-Home...ah well I-I wish I could readily answer that. It's, um, a bit difficult to get home in this place. N-No one really knows how to get back home. There was...a sh-shift that sent people home for a day a few months ago...but that's about the extent of progress we've had here.

[ Helios pauses and shakes his head on his end at that question. ] I-I'm sorry I don't...I don't really know why. Perhaps it's just a coincidence.

I-I'm not sure. I-I don't think that's it. I'm not sure as to why we look so very much alike. [ It is strange and even more so interesting to him. ]

I've only shared my appearance with, with other parallel universe versions of myself...
folklorist: (Ever so curious)

It's um speculated to be a un-universe that's created out of one of the m-many choices we never made in our own world. A-A world that's beside our own created because of a choice we didn't make over another choice. Or, ah, s-so goes the idea. I-I'm not sure if it's true or not.
folklorist: (I'm just your average headmaster yep)

Ah yes it's um...a bit strange to p-probably hear. [ But, well, Helios has had first hand experience with it. Not that he'll mention this given the state of this poor man right now. ]

It's all a bit strange but you c-can probably think of parallel worlds as something...in another galaxy or-or in a different part of space. Just with, with the same people that look like you and are essentially you only...different in some ways.
folklorist: (Oh is that right)

[ Helios can't help but give a small chuckle at that. ] N-No I suppose it doesn't. But, well, it is still just a th-theory. I-I mean there's probably people here who have experienced it which doesn't make it any less easy to understand though. It's just one of those, well, one of those odd and surreal things that you can't very well explain. Al-almost like Luceti in a way.
folklorist: (Ah that's going to leave a mark)

[ A wince on his end it's probably a good thing Luce isn't looking at his journal at the moment. ] I-I wish it were that easy, I truly do. I-I don't doubt that most, if not all, of the people here would have been taken home by now.

[ A sigh. ] I-I'm sorry but I d-don't think it'll ever be that easy. Our c-captors really are in no rush to s-send us home unfortunately. But we, we as a group can make each other's lives a little bit more comfortable here like we have been. S-So there is that, even if it's only a small comfort for an entirely new world and a s-strange occurrence. [ He sounds apologetic because he can't really do anything more than try to help this man get acclimated to Luceti and all it's odds and ends. It's the least he can do but it might bring the other some comfort, right? ]

H-Have you...been to the town yet?
folklorist: (Do go on I'm listening)

I'm not sure. The buildings here tend to...grow larger to house more people as, as strange as that may seem. [ Or not so strange anymore given all the information this poor man has had to digest and deal with. ]

The food restocks continuously t-too. S-So there's no reason for anyone to go hungry either. It's um, r-rather quaint when you think about it. J-Just so very hard to get used to.

S-Some sort of technology or what have you used by the Malnosso probably. There have been times where it hasn't worked before though. [ Like just recently actually. Thank the gods that the new feathers came into a nice, clean, and rejuvenated compound though. It's all the would need to have to be thrown into such a place. ]

But typical, yes, the buildings and f-food always replenish themselves no matter how great the damage. It's...rather fascinating actually.

Th-there's a lot of things you'll find that aren't n-normal in Luceti I'm afraid. I-I know it's probably a bit daunting and strange right now but, but with help from others here it can become more familiar sh-should you wish for it to be.

[ A small sigh. ] Have you read the guide by any chance?
folklorist: (Er. Um. Don't kill me please)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-07-16 06:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I-I see. If, you, um have any other questions I-I can try to answer them. I apologize for not having the most helpful of answers. There's still so much that we don't understand and h-haven't been made aware of. Especially being here for two years myself. There's still so much that's still a mystery.

No I believe everything is there, actually. [ Aside from recent events and summoning aspects. Both of which he's not sure if Luce would want to hear about. ] There have been some...newer additions to somethings like missions. B-But you can also find all that information in the back of your journal.
folklorist: (I came across a strange thing)

[ Helios frowns on his end. ] A guide outside of the journals might not be needed. I-I'm sure Raine probably has a written type somewhere as well. It's...not that bad an idea. The journals might sometimes act up too so who knows! Having another copy on hand might be a good idea.

Catches onto the books...

[ Oh right. Of course. ] They're not actually that bad, you know? I-I mean this book has helped me save my close friend's life m-many times before.

[ Gods if it weren't for the journal back when Giles was bitten or all the other times he had gotten himself injured beyond being able to heal himself? Helios probably would have lost Giles numerous times. ] But I admit I was...confuse and wary of them as well at first. They're very strange, very unassuming. You think they're books and then suddenly they're talking to you! Or, well, the people on the other side are talking to you through them. [ A laugh. ] Very startling.
