I have been here for a week, and so far I have learned the following things:

1.) Nothing here makes sense.
2.) Animals are not supposed to talk, and they do. I think I prefer birds when they didn't have conversations outside my window.
3.) Everyone seems to carry their witchbook around, people should lock them up someplace.
4.) There are a lot of strange folks here with odd ways.
5.) What is there to do besides sit around?
6.) Why am I even writing this in here? Note to self: invest in a journal.

What if it gives you the resources to defend against the other problems in this place?

If I do not survive, then it simply means it is my time.

But its true, if it is my time. That means it is my time, and I can go into my next life- where hopefully I did well enough to move up.

So it isn't that you believe in fate necessarily as much as you're not afraid to face your death if it comes to it?

Correct. Because, my next life will hopefully be better than this one.

There are things I wish I could change, but I simply can't.

People don't carry on the sins of their parents.

I don't have parents. I'm actually a foundling.

I was found as a child. So the Church took me in.

That's okay, but I still don't think it's possible.

Being born is never a sin.

Its not my birth, I cause someone else to sin. Someone who deserves the best in the world, is willing to risk it all for me.

They love me when they shouldn't. [And he loves them back.] So, I hope in my next life, I can be something they can love.

Much as I really hate to admit it, no one's unlovable matey.

[Even Blackbeard. Granted, Marco hates him, but he was his brother once. He just wants to kill him a thousand times over now.]

So I don't think it's a sin. [Though honestly, Marco just wouldn't care if it was... because this is why he's a pirate.]
